Storage research
A battery scenario needs a job, not just a capacity.
Energy storage research at SKYDEV CODE LLC compares use cases. The same kilowatt-hours can be backup, peak shaving, or a place to put midday solar. Those are different plans.
Three jobs we model
- Backup. Which loads stay on, for how long, and what the household or site is willing to drop.
- Peak shaving. Which demand window the battery is meant to cover, using the tariff the customer is actually on.
- Solar pairing. How much daytime generation would otherwise be exported, and whether storing it serves a goal the customer named.
What the research is
We study storage options and write scenarios. We do not manufacture batteries, and we do not claim a round-trip efficiency that the selected equipment has not published. When a manufacturer’s figure is used, the brief cites it as the manufacturer’s figure.
Scenarios are revisited when the solar size changes. A storage plan bolted onto an old array size is how reports go stale. The approach page describes that handoff.
What you can ask for
A storage note can stand alone or sit inside a solar planning brief. Business projects often pair it with carbon tracking, because the emissions story changes if the battery is charged from the grid at night.
