Carbon tracking
An emissions number is only as clear as its inputs.
SKYDEV CODE LLC designs tracking and reporting so a customer can see how a carbon estimate was built. The homepage dashboard is a model total. It is not a third-party registry.
What a report includes
- The activity being counted, such as a solar plan’s expected generation or a change in purchased electricity.
- The emission factor used, and the year or source it came from.
- The boundary: what is inside the estimate and what was left out on purpose.
- A short note when the factor is a placeholder because a utility-specific factor was not available.
What we will not print
We do not print a “net zero” badge, a certified offset, or a claim that a plan has already avoided a ton of emissions that has not been measured. Estimates are labeled as estimates. If a later meter reading replaces an estimate, the report should say that the basis changed.
Business readers usually want this page next to business energy. Households usually arrive from residential solar and only need a simpler figure.
